"With this mural I’m hoping to show that in parallel to mainstream Hollywood runs a lesser-known underground culture that has always been there, challenging the mainstream and shaping global culture. From skateboarding, tattoo and car culture to punk rock, hip-hop and underground film, the underground of Hollywood is worth celebrating in its own right. I painted this mural on The Aster Hotel at Hollywood & Vine, in Los Angeles, California over the course of three weeks in July, 2022 using only spray paint.”
